OVERVIEW

Since 1889, Gladstone Hotel has been a pillar of the West Queen West community offering a space that promotes creativity and collaboration while fostering inclusivity. Over the past several years, the Gladstone Hotel has evolved in many ways but has continued to be recognized and valued as a very social and interactive gathering place. 

Just as the West Queen West community has undergone a significant transformation over the years, so too has the hotel with a renovation that combines soft-industrial motif with modern accents throughout. 

The original architecture has been preserved and is now contrasted with colourful contemporary artwork that draws you in and sparks conversation. 

Ushering in with a new look and feel, the hotel is now aptly called “Gladstone House” - a place that celebrates culture, art, and diversity. The Gladstone House promises a unique guest experience for dining, entertainment, leisure, and business travellers. 

Streetcar Developments and Dream Inc. have established the Gladstone as their second hotel categorized by historical landmarks with a focus on art and culture. The collection of hotels are to maintain a consistent visual identity rooted in The Broadview Hotel brand recognition as a sister property. Welcome to Gladstone House. 

THE BRIEF

Blue Door was tasked with reinvigorating the new Gladstone House by developing the new brand narrative and brand identity.
