LLaura serves as Blue Door’s Chief Executive Officer and Founder.

Laura delivers more than a decade of communications experience and has earned a reputation as one of the city’s top experts in crisis management. Prior to starting Blue Door, Laura was the Senior Communications Associate at a leading public affairs firm (Sussex Strategy Group) specializing in stakeholder relations, public engagement and coalition building campaigns.

During her 10 years at Sussex, Laura was known for her expertise in developing integrated, multi-channel campaigns that were strategic and result-oriented. While she developed and managed campaigns across nearly all sectors, she was most engaged in the sectors of healthcare, technology, and hospitality.

Laura’s deep understanding and love for the Canadian hospitality sector was the foundation for building Blue Door - A specialized marketing company that would focus on the Food & Beverage space and become the go-to marketing house for all brands in the industry.

In 2017, Laura founded Blue Door with a small group of investors and a nimble team. The company now represents key clients in the hospitality space including Longo’s, Pusateri’s, Gladstone Hotel, Fresh Restaurants and Keurig Dr. Pepper.Laura was humbled to be nominated in 2020 and 2021 for the coveted RBC Women Entrepreneur of the Year. Laura is also a trusted judge for the Canadian Marketing Association Awards, and is the Head of Strategic Partnerships for TedxToronto. Blue Door has been recognized as one of the fastest growing agencies by Holmes, and was named Agency of the Year by Notable Awards. Laura lives in Toronto with her husband Kevin and her 10-month old daughter, Zoë.

BPrior to joining Blue Door, Brody founded and led his own digital marketing agency, PunchxPepper. In just a few years, Brody successfully positioned his agency with major hospitality brands and became the go-to shop for all things digital and design.

In 2019, Blue Door acquired PunchxPepper and Brody became our Director of Digital Marketing. Today, Brody oversees all aspects of the digital and design departments which represent some of the biggest names in hospitality including Pusateri’s, Gladstone Hotels, Fresh Restaurants and Open Concept Hospitality. In 2020, Blue Door was also selected as the Preferred Branding Agency for Marriott Hotels, North America. A testament to the sophistication and elevated creativity he adds to our agency.

Brody brings a diverse set of business skills coupled with extensive experience in the digital field, including campaign strategy and development, analytics and reporting, email and digital marketing. Brody is constantly searching for new ways to optimize our service offerings to benefit all clients. With prior roles at Shopify and Fairmont Hotels, Brody delivers insights and expertise that are hard to ignore.

A Aaron started as Blue Door’s first employee and now serves as the Digital Marketing Manager. Aaron is equipped with over five years of experience in social media management, digital advertising, email marketing, and digital advertising. Prior to joining Blue Door, Aaron worked as a Communications Specialist in the Communications Department at Algonquin College. Aaron helps manage an innovative team of account coordinators, designers, and website developers. Aaron leverages his wealth of experience in the digital sector to spearhead strategy development, direct execution tactics, and work directly with clients to foster meaningful and ongoing relationships. Aaron loves seeking out innovative tactics that can be used across a variety of sectors to help our clients be disrupters in often noisy markets. Above all, Aaron is a team builder and manager who prides himself on getting the best out of the team.

Kate joined the Blue Door team in June 2018 and now supports the CEO, Laura Silver, in leading the Public Relations team. Kate specializes in media relations, issues management and influencer relations for the agency’s growing list of clients across all major sectors. Most recently, Kate was tasked with developing Blue Door’s Strategic Media Buying service offering which launches this Fall 2021.

Kate is a natural at new business development and has successfully introduced Blue Door to clients in the cannabis, healthcare, real estate and technology spaces. Her relationships with the media have resulted in national coverage for our clients in leading publications including Globe and Mail, Financial Post, and BNN.

Kate’s top priority for her clients is to ensure all communications plans are strategic, innovative and constantly progressing.

With previous experience in a public affairs role at Enterprise Canada and content creation management at The Hot Plate, Kate delivers a unique and vast skill set to Blue Door clientele.Kate graduated from Queen’s University and went on to complete her public relations post-graduate certificate at Humber College.

AWith more than four years of agency experience as a public relations professional, Anneliese has worked with clients in the retail, alcohol, cannabis, tourism, and hospitality sector. Prior to joining Blue Door, Anneliese gained experience at a public relations agency, executing national and international campaigns with several large-scale brands.

With a knack for building relationships and an interest in the evolving media landscape, Anneliese joined Blue Door in 2018, focusing predominantly on media relations. Today, Anneliese is a Client Lead guiding campaigns from conceptualization to execution including franchise openings and new-to-market launches.In addition to managing the day-to-day communication with clients, Anneliese also spearheads campaigns that include a spectrum of Blue Door services including influencer marketing, earned media relations, paid media placements, strategic partnerships, issues management, and event coordination and support.

JJulie is our driving creative force at Blue Door. As our Lead Designer, Julie is responsible for managing all design projects, developing rich content marketing strategies, creative direction, design execution, and implementing organizational processes.As part of her specialized skill set, Julie helps lead the company’s branding department with a focus on complete brand identity build-outs for entities in the food and beverage industry. She is fully immersed in the branding process from organizing and facilitating brand name workshops, to concept development and final design execution. She is a critical and strategic thinker who designs with a problem-solving-first approach.After graduating from Carleton University with a sociology undergrad, Julie finished a post-graduate certificate in graphic design and interactive media at the Toronto Film School.

XXana is Blue Door’s Digital Account Coordinator at Blue Door. Prior to working with us, Xana graduated from the Bachelor of Digital Communications program at Humber College, making her a jack of all trades at online content creation and digital marketing. Her eight years of hospitality experience makes her a wonderful addition to the team, providing valuable insight to our entire team and our extensive list of hospitality clients.

TAfter a decade of honing his accounting craft with small to medium sized businesses, most of them being involved in the service industry, Tim began his search for a new and exciting challenge. Fittingly, Blue Door was just the right place. Tim serves as Blue Door’s Senior Bookkeeper where he manages the day-to-day finances for the growing agency. Tim oversees the agency’s investment portfolio and plays a lead role in the preparation of financial statements, tax returns and reports to the Board of Directors. As part of a commitment to professional development, Tim hosts quarterly meetings with the management team on profit margin analysis, forecasting, financial trends and opportunities.
