LWith more than a decade of experience in public relations and public affairs, Laura has worked with clients across various sectors including healthcare, technology, finance and transportation. Specializing in media relations and crisis communications, Laura has created Blue Door as a niche hospitality firm representing some of Toronto’s top restaurants, bars, hotels and spas.

Laura graduated from Western University with a Double Honours Degree in Sociology and Psychology. Prior to founding Blue Door, Laura was a Senior Associate at Sussex Strategy Group, leading that firm’s robust communications team.

BRODY MAJOR

DIRECTOR OF MARKETING

BIn 2019, Blue Door acquired Brody’s thriving digital marketing agency, PunchxPepper, and he became the company’s Director of Digital Marketing. Brody’s background in film, media, e-commerce, and hospitality has fostered a niche focus to help our clients build better, longer lasting relationships with their clientele. With his impressive track record working with Toronto’s top tier brands, Brody has been a go-to for industry talk in publications such as The National Post, The Queen’s Journal, and The Huffington Post.

Brody brings a diverse set of business skills coupled with extensive experience in the digital field, including campaign strategy and development, analytics and reporting, email and digital marketing. Brody leads all aspects of Blue Door’s digital team and is constantly searching for new ways to optimize our service offerings to benefit all clients.

DELIA LOVELESS

PUBLIC RELATIONS MANAGER

DDelia joined the Blue Door team in November 2017. As a manager of the Public Relations team, Delia’s versatility as a communicator is a core strength that she brings to the workplace. A trusted advisor to clients on all areas of marketing and communications, Delia has worked with some of Blue Doors largest corporate brands, helping them scale on a national level. Prior to Blue Door, Delia worked for a number of non-profits, tech start-ups and food brands, supporting multi-department projects with strategic insight into communications and marketing channels. Delia graduated from Western University with a degree in Communications and went on to complete a post-graduate certificate in public relation at Mohawk College, which she received with Honours.

AARON LIEBERMAN

DIGITAL MANAGER

AAs the first member of the Blue Door team, Aaron has helped build and develop the Digital Marketing Department since inception. Aaron’s background in public relations, digital marketing, and hospitality has allowed Aaron to seamlessly integrate the services that Blue Door offers into respective client projects, while always striving to achieve and maintain strong client relationships. Aaron currently manages the Digital Marketing Department as well as the Design Department, assisting in project management and execution for over 10 employees.

Aaron spearheads all digital advertising campaigns on behalf of clients at Blue Door. As such, Aaron is Google Certified and is a verified Facebook partner. Aaron relentlessly keeps up with all marketing platforms, including monitoring ongoing changes to the digital atmosphere to ensure that Blue Door is always the first to try new tactics and strategic approaches.

Aaron graduated from a joint program between the University of Ottawa and Algonquin College with an Honours Bachelor Degree in Public Relations. Prior to joining Blue Door, Aaron spearheaded a program at Algonquin College creating compelling online content for the communications and public relations departments.

KATE JOHNNY

PUBLIC RELATIONS MANAGER

KGuided by her extreme passion for the food and beverage industry, Kate joined the Blue Door team in June 2018. Recently, Kate helped Blue Door to expand its client base into industries including cannabis, technology, real estate and retail.

Leading the non-hospitality PR team at Blue Door, Kate is well-versed in media relations building relationships with outlets including Globe and Mail, Bloomberg, Financial Post and the Toronto Star. Before Blue Door, Kate created photo and video content for major food brands.

Kate graduated from Queen’s University and went on to complete her public relations post-graduate certificate at Humber College.

ANNELIESE DIAMANTOPOULOS

SENIOR PUBLIC RELATIONS COORDINATOR

ASince starting at Blue Door in 2018, Anneliese has continued to work directly with clients under Blue Door’s hospitality sector.

With a natural knack for building relations and an interest in the evolving media landscape, Anneliese focuses predominantly on media relations, while also managing day-to-day client communication, influencer campaigns, partnership opportunities, strategy development, and event coordination and support.

Anneliese has worked with national and international publications, garnering coverage in top tier print, online, and broadcast outlets, including Toronto Star, Toronto Sun, EATER, Imbibe, ELLE, The Kit, CP24, and Global News.

Anneliese graduated from Carleton University in Ottawa with a Bachelor of Communications and Media Studies. Prior to joining Blue Door, Anneliese gained experience as an Account Coordinator at a public relations and experiential marketing agency, working on national and international campaigns.

COLETTE O'GORMAN

PUBLIC RELATIONS COORDINATOR

CAs a Public Relations Coordinator at Blue Door, Colette works closely with both hospitality and non-hospitality clients to effectively tell their stories and engage with new audiences.

Focusing on media relations and strategic partnership development, Colette evokes her passion for storytelling and creative problem solving when developing unique pitch angles, exploring new outlets, and coming up with memorable, collaborative events.

In her role as coordinator, Colette is responsible for communicating effectively with media and influencers, securing partnership opportunities, developing in-depth client strategies, and planning events. When she’s not scouring the internet for emerging news stories, she’s keeping tabs on industry trends and emerging opportunities for clients.

After receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and International Development from the University of Toronto, Colette switched gears and set her sights on a career in public relations. Following completion of a post graduate certificate from Humber College, Colette joined the Blue Door team as a Public Relations Intern, growing into the role of coordinator by taking on new challenges and quickly learning the ins-and-outs of agency life.

EMILY CRAIG-EVANS

PUBLIC RELATIONS COORDINATOR

EAs a pivotal public relations team member, Emily uses her creativity and problem solving to focus on media relations and strategic partnerships with a focus on hospitality clients. She also acts as an administrative support to the team to ensure client success. Her role includes daily media monitoring, creative pitch development, key message development and copy writing and editing. Through relationship building, she has secured coverage with top-tier media including Breakfast Television, CBC, NOW Magazine and blogTO.

Prior to joining Blue Door, Emily worked at a top tier public relations agency focusing on media relations, influencer relations, and content creation for lifestyle, arts and consumer brands, including TO Live, Empress Gin and S. Pellegrino.

With a background studying journalism at Ryerson University, Emily approaches each opportunity to share our clients’ stories with curiosity and rigour. During her time at Ryerson she wrote for a number of student publications covering campus news.

JULIE MARTINEZ

SENIOR GRAPHIC DEISGNER

JJulie is our driving creative force at Blue Door. As our Senior in-house graphic designer, Julie is responsible for managing all design projects, developing rich content marketing strategies, creative direction, design execution, and implementing organizational processes.

As part of her specialized skill set, Julie helps lead the company’s branding department with a focus on complete brand identity build-outs for entities in the food and beverage industry. She is fully emerged in the branding process from organizing and facilitating brand name workshops, to concept development and final design execution. She is a critical and strategic thinker who creates with a problem-solving-first approach.

After graduating from Carleton University with a sociology undergrad, Julie finished a post-graduate certificate in graphic design and interactive media at the Toronto Film School.

SHEILA JOY SY

GRAPHIC DESIGNER

SSheila is a multi-disciplined graphic designer with a background in the luxury beauty and lifestyle industry. With her previous experience, she brings in a different perspective when it comes to digital content development, creative strategies and design execution.
Her breadth of knowledge in digital design and omni-marketing campaigns, Sheila has a specialized skill set that include illustration, photography, motion design and UI design. As a part of the creative team at Blue Door, she aims to provide clients with creative and out of the box solutions.
Prior to Blue Door, Sheila assisted in execution of omni-channel campaigns for brands such as The Hudson’s Bay, NUDESTIX Inc., The Toronto Star, and Sephora Canada.

DIGITAL COORDINATOR

AAnthony joins Blue Door following the completion of his undergraduate degree in Political Science and his post-graduate certificate in Public Relations. As our Digital Coordinator, Anthony is the voice of our clients online and works each day to create engaging content for Blue Door clients.

Anthony is passionate about the hospitality sector and delivers a fresh perspective on how restaurants, hotels, bars and brands can effectively engage with their audiences on social media platforms.

Anthony spearheads the Blue Door's Social WiFi department wherein he coordinates the implementation, optimization, and execution of data collection campaigns on behalf of our clients.

DIGITAL COORDINATOR

NOriginally from Vancouver, Nora moved to Toronto after completing her Marketing Management degree. She has had experience with creating brands from start to finish and content creation for international brands. At Blue Door, she works diligently to create educational and engaging content for clients.

Nora specializes in strategizing, designing, and deploying email marketing campaigns. Nora is always actively seeking new ways to unlock the potential of this service for our clients.

TIM WEINKAUF

SENIOR BOOKKEEPER

TAfter spending most of his youth working in various restaurants and bars and flailing around as a musician, Tim eventually found himself a graduate of University of Toronto with a degree in Economics and Philosophy. A fateful job offer in the accounting sector resulted in him discovering his love of the work, as well as his knack for it.

After a decade of honing his accounting craft with small to medium sized businesses, most of them being involved in the service industry, Tim began his search for a new and exciting challenge. Fittingly, Blue Door Communications Inc. was the place that lay at the end of that search.
